Bradu Monastery
The Bradu Monastery was built by the Badeanu Mihalcescu Candescu family and then rebuilt by Lady Neaga, wife of Prince Mihnea Turcitul (1577-1583 and 1585-1591), thus being known as "Lady Neaga Monastery".
In 1640-1641, Radu Candescu surrounded Bradu Monastery with citadel walls. Constantin Brancoveanu stayed here several times and also, Michael the Brave left on Buzau Valley from Bradu, winning the battle of the Selimbar and achieving the union of Romanian Country with Transylvania and Moldavia.
